Basic rules

    Like in most tabletop RPGs, Hedron players sit around and describe their interaction within a story told by a Gamemaster (GM). In a situation where the outcome is uncertain, a player rolls an Attribute or Skill and determine success based on a Difficulty chosen by the GM. Wether they succeed or not, the story moves on with consequences or boons.

    Rolling

    When a player needs to roll an Attribute or Skill, they use two twelve-sided dice, add them togheter and add the relevant bonuses.

    When rolling an Attribute, you only add the value of the attribute to the roll.

    When rolling a Skill, you add the value of the Skill and it's associated Attribute to the roll.

    The result of the roll needs to match or exceed the chosen Difficulty's value to succeed.

    Skills and Attributes

    Each characters are composed of a variety of skills and attributes that determines their ability to complete tasks and interact with the world around them. When attempting a task that has a chance of failing, a player will often roll one of their Attribute or Skill. Atrtributes are overall categories that represent the character's overall strengths and weaknesses. Skills are more granular proficiencies that a character has that highlight their training in performing certain actions.
